What Sort Of Events Does Nick Pike Sax Play At?

I’m really lucky to have played at a selection of really fun events in amazing places. Weddings are always an honour to play and are an incredibly fun area to work in.
Similarly, corporate parties can often be really fun, in really impressive and attractive venues (such as the Savoy or the Waldorf Hilton - I’ve played in both of their ballrooms and they are so gorgeous).
Some highlight experiences for me:
The Pink Ribbon Fundraiser Gala in The Underglobe in October 2026. I can’t fully underline how bananas this event was. I was hired by Brooks & Baker, a London and Melbourne-based dance troupe who do some incredible dance/character installations. This event had circus performers, multiple singers, incredible decor, a full dance troupe, acrobats and, of course, a sax player. The crowd were singing along and out of their seats within my first warm up tune so it was a fantastic gig from my side.
Playing on the beach in Mauritius in March with my feet in the Indian Ocean and the sunset at my back. I do hotel residencies for a selection of companies, including Club Med, all over the world. Playing abroad is always lovely but Mauritius was particularly beautiful and I was lucky enough to take my wife and son with me to share the experience!
I’ve played events at the Oval for Surrey Cricket a couple of times in the last year and it means I can get away with saying I’ve played stadiums - that counts, right?
I recently played at The Lanesborough on Hyde Park Corner for a gorgeous Narnia-themed wedding. I still ended up playing some pretty nasty drum’n’bass by midnight but the hotel itself was absolutely beautiful and the service was impeccable. A pricey experience but a truly wonderful 5 star hotel in an iconic part of London.
Quaglinos in Mayfair was a beautiful venue to play (with one of the best staircases I ever played down) and I had the honour to do a private party with another dance troupe, Queen Tribute Band, Marilyn Monroe impersonator and, of course, a sax player with DJ and bongo player. We were lucky enough to do this event a couple of days before Quaglinos reopened after it’s renovations - it’s an art deco beauty and definitely worth checking out if you get the chance!
Boats. I’ve done four or five boat parties, mainly on boats of the Woods Quay Silver Fleet. They come with a little bit of a challenge getting gear to the boat and load-in but they’re such a novelty to play on and the clients are always there to enjoy themselves. They’re also incredibly well-run and the food is fantastic.
Chateaus in France. I’ve done a few abroad parties and destination weddings in my time and, whilst they generate a huge amount more logistical challenges and time, they are such a beautiful setting to play in and always have such a great energy about them.
I’d highly recommend having a look at any of these venues if you can as I really enjoyed performing at them!
