FAQS

  • What are your prices?
Nick would generally recommend two sets of 45 minutes which would cost £350. This allows for enough time to get in back-to-back classics but not so much that it gets boring - you can have too much of a good thing! Nick provides his own sound equipment with different options depending on the size of the venue.
  • Can I discuss my event in person or on the phone with Nick beforehand?
Of course, Nick is happy to hold an online video call to discuss the details or you can call or email - whatever makes you feel most comfortable about the booking!
  • Which areas do you cover?
He will travel a reasonable distance for no extra cost but that is subject to location, Nick generally services the areas of London, Essex, Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex, Kent and Berkshire. That said, If you'd be interested in Nick playing further afield then do get in touch!
  • What if my timings change after I've booked you?
Nick is very flexible and willing to accommodate any surprises that might raise their heads on the day! The only consideration might be if there is another gig booked that day but Nick will do his utmost to make sure everything runs smoothly for you.
  • Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Of course! People always ask for it so Nick plays music as standard in between sets. However, if you would like music after the saxophone set is finished for any significant amount of time then there will be an additional fee. Nick is happy to be flexible and is keen for your party to be as enjoyable as possible!
  • How much time do you need to set up?
Nick need at least 30 minutes but Nick normally tries to be set up and ready to go before the guests enter the performance area. • Which venues have you performed at in the past?
Gosh, all over. The most memorable would be on the beach in Cancun (Mexico) for Club Med hotels, Last Night Of The Proms in Hyde Park 2019 (nuts amount of energy) and Nick always love playing at Cheltenham Jazz/Music festival! That said, high-energy gigs/weddings are always a joy to play!
  • Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Nick always find this difficult to answer truthfully because, like most musicians, there are so many influences from artists, specific songs, even specific solos and particularly inspiring teachers or bandmates. He'd probably settle on Gordon Goodwin and Eric Marienthal though!
