How Much Does A Sax And DJ Cost At My Wedding?

If you’re reading this post then you’ve likely settled on hiring a saxophone player for your wedding in some capacity. Sax players are great solo, in instrumental duos or playing with a DJ.
Hiring a solo saxophonist will cost you anywhere between £300 to £1800 depending on a variety of factors, covered in other blogs of mine. This is looking at about an hour and a half of playing, either as a solo performance or with a DJ accompanying them.
However, this is assuming that you’ve already hired the DJ. This arrangement works perfectly well but sometimes it just smooths the booking process out and helps the performers (as well your budget) if you hire the Sax and DJ as a package. Prices for this vary across the country but go from as low as £1000 to £2500. Bear in mind that this includes two skilled individuals who will be entertaining your guests all night and a lot of high powered audio equipment. It’s likely that they’ll also bring some sort of lighting rig with them but this varies from act to act.
There are plenty of options for a saxophonist who also DJs. This is much more cost efficient and, as long as you find the write sax/DJ is an excellent option. Prices for saxophonists and DJ combos vary from act to act but generally goes between £500 and £2000. This will likely include your evening entertainment and all the subsequent gear but won’t cover extra things like hiring stages or smoke machines etc.
