How A Saxophonist Can Transform Your Corporate Event or Party

The annual work Christmas parties, the office festive drinks and the merry departmental night caps really begin to kick off from mid-October to mid-December.

Increasingly, companies are holding these events after Christmas when their staff are less busy and the cost of putting the parties on isn’t quite so high but the real Corporate party season is October to December.

Whatever shape or form these parties take, they will definitely need some entertainment. When you have people from different departments or colleagues who are without the conversational crutch of daily work stuff then having a focal point to watch, enjoy and discuss can be a great way of passing the time until the festive eggnog has loosened everyone up.

That focal point can come in many shapes and sizes but a saxophonist is probably the most cost-effective entertainment for your party budget. A saxophonist is an all-in-one solution - a single musician performing with backing tracks who brings their own PA (speakers) or who can utilise your venue’s system. This makes them very cost-efficient in comparison to musical acts such as bands or dance troupes that have a large number of personnel and need to bring a lot of equipment.

Saxophonists can also be used to add a live and organic energy that a pure DJ set often lacks.

A well-dressed saxophone player will enhance your event’s aesthetic, adding visual flair. Nick Pike Sax’s performances are done on a wireless microphone, allowing me to walk around the crowd and interact with guests. People often film my performances and a good number of those photos and videos will find their way online; this will boost your event’s appeal and improve your company’s image.

A good saxophonist is versatile, being able to play a variety of different styles and read the room on the fly. Whether they’re performing jazz standards or ibiza bangers to your guests, it will add an atmosphere that can only elevate your event - this means that they can be useful to greet your guests at the classy end of the evening or to play them out at the other end when only the true party animals are left!
